He’s wrestling with that classic question: keep fighting or throw in the towel? He’s influenced by Mark Fisher’s ideas about how the future feels cancelled, like we’re just going through the motions. The chorus lifts the tempo as he sings about everything being boring, nothing new, and the life you were promised fading away. It’s a distress signal from a dark place, but it’s also a defiant middle finger to a society that burns us out. The fact that it exists at all is a victory.
