Berlin, United States’ nonconformists The Rapid Onset has dropped their single, “All I Want Is You”—a fiery second cut from their 2025 album Destroy! Destroy! Destroy!, and we have to let you know that it’s worth the hype.

Kiri Bereznai‘s usually all about political fire, but this time, she’s turned that intensity inward. She’s in on the complicated, heart-racing world of queer polyamory, and it’s anything but your typical sappy love song. Instead, it’s a brutal, honest look at wanting someone who’s split between partners. Bereznai’s lyrics—sharp as broken glass—paint sleepless nights and jealous whispers (“I wonder where you are tonight / And if you think of me / Does she know the place to touch / To help you fall asleep?”). Her delivery swings smoky and vulnerable to full-on punk rage, especially when she sings out: “I want you! No, no, no, no! I want you!” It’s chaotic, human, and loud.

Recorded on the fly with a mobile rig during months of travel, you can feel that DIY spirit oozing out of every note. She almost got too fancy with it, piling on extra stuff before realizing the song’s power was in its originality. Kiri basically birthed a track that hits you like a train while still making you want to start a riot. It’s a psalm for anyone who’s loved hard, loved queer, or loved when the world said they shouldn’t.

The Rapid Onset’s new direction is crystal clear. They’re here to blow minds and shatter expectations, dishing one face-melting single at a time.  If “All I Want Is You” is any indication, Destroy! Destroy! Destroy! will be a total knockout.
