Micheal Fordays, once again, is here to rip open the sky. With The Odds Of Magic, Fordays slingshots listeners into a vortex. Dropping April 25th, this track is for anyone who likes their rock smart and heavy.

Michael Fordays is like a one-man military, handling vocals, guitar, and bass like a boss. He’s teamed up with Dave Klein, a total madman on drums and keys. Fordays’ guitar screams like a pissed-off blues legend, while his voice goes from smooth as whiskey to full-on banshee wail. And Klein? This guy’s a monster behind the kit, pounding out rhythms that’ll shake your bones, then switching to keys that sparkle like a disco ball in a tornado. Put ’em together and you’ve got pure, controlled mayhem.

They laid this bad boy down at Dave Klein Recording, and you can smell the spirit oozing from every second. They started bare-bones – just Fordays, his axe, and a click track – then went nuts, piling on layers like they were building the world’s coolest musical sandwich. The bass growls like a hungry beast, guitars go off on psychedelic trips, and Klein’s keyboards add this creepy movie vibe that’ll make the hair on your neck stand up. Klein mixed it all, and damn if he didn’t nail it – every instrument cuts through clear as day, showing off all of Fordays’ tricks.

This guy’s lyrics are cryptic as hell. Fordays wanted to capture in his words “the essence of the world as I felt it”—whatever that means, it’s deep. But forget that for a sec – the real magic is in those wonky chords and off-kilter sounds. Fordays is messing with our heads, throwing in these weird open voicings that’ll have you questioning your sanity.

Mastered by Nick Townsend, the track’s got enough polish to gleam but it still feels like you’re eavesdropping on some late-night garage session. And with The Odds Of Magic serving as the title track for Fordays’ upcoming project (plus another single, To All, on the horizon), it’s clear this LA rebel’s just warming up.

Fordays’ self-proclaimed mantra? “I’m a fisher of stars.” Judging by this track, he’s hooked a supernova. The Odds Of Magic is a kick in the teeth to everything boring and predictable in rock music. And if you know what’s good for you, you’ll keep tabs on Micheal Fordays.
