We sit down with Missoury for an in-depth conversation about his latest release, the inspiration that fuels his creative process, his journey as an artist, and what fans can expect next.

How would you describe your music to someone who’s never heard it?

My music sounds like a journey through shadow and light—rooted in underground hip-hop but layered with cinematic textures and emotional depth. It’s introspective and mythic, drawing from ancient stories and real-life struggles to create something that feels both raw and otherworldly. Think of it as storytelling from the underworld, where every beat has a pulse and every lyric has a purpose.

How has your sound evolved since you first started making music?

When I first started making music, it was all about raw expression—just getting feelings out without worrying too much about structure or sound design. Over time, I’ve become more intentional. My sound has evolved from simple beats and straight bars into something more atmospheric and layered. I’ve started weaving in cinematic elements, deeper storytelling, and textures that reflect both where I’m from and where I’m headed. It’s still rooted in underground hip-hop, but now it’s more expansive—almost like scoring a film of my own inner world.

What’s a bizarre or unexpected inspiration behind one of your songs?

For ‘Too Many Reasons, the inspiration actually came from a recurring dream I kept having where I was walking through a city with no people—just echoes. It made me think about isolation, doubt, and the invisible weight of decisions we carry. But the bizarre part? The beat was originally made with some sample i downloaded months ago which almost sounded like how the sound of a malfunctioning printer in the future would sound like. I warped it into a rhythmic loop, added a few instruments and of course some 808’s and it created this mechanical tension that fit perfectly with the emotional tone of the song. It turned into a track about feeling stuck in your own head, with too many reasons to move and none that feel right.

What’s the most memorable moment of your music career so far?

The most memorable moments in my career so far would be being featured on blog articles from different Blogs and also my music being featured in a Behind The Lyrics video shoot on Thomathy Entertainment’s Youtube channel as well as my little sister giving me her full support by helping me pay for a Ditto Plus promotional campaign running for 6 weeks for my latest single ‘Lost Lover’ that i would have never been able to pay for which i’m very gratefull for as i believe the reasons she helped with promotions for the song was because first of all it was one of her favourite songs and second being she believes in my potential and is willing to invest in what i need to help me grow as an artist and reach my full potential.

Tell us all you can about your latest release and where and when to find it?

“Lost Lover” is Missoury’s most introspective cut to date—a hauntingly atmospheric hip-hop ballad that blends sparse, late-night synth lines with jazz-inspired keys and a trap-inflected low end. Lyrically it explores the aftermath of a breakup: the empty spaces, the late-night texts you never send, and the bittersweet hope of finding closure.
