Get The Net just dropped the anthem that 2025 desperately needed. Hailing from Metuchen, New Jersey, this power trio has unleashed “Life Escape,” a ferocious blast of sound against the digital dystopia we’re all drowning in.
You’ve got Ryan Raichilson on vocals and guitar, the dude who started this whole thing as a solo project before realising the power of a pack. On bass, holding down the fort with thunderous low end, is Brian O’Halloran. And smashing the shit out of the drums with relentless precision is Kyle Burnett.
So what’s “Life Escape” about? It’s the sound of snapping your smartphone in half and hitting the open road. Ryan Raichilson spells it out: it’s about “shutting off the screens, disconnecting from the madness, and pursuing something real.” We’re talking long days at the beach, long nights at the shows, and actually giving a damn about your local community. This is a song with a purpose, and its purpose is to set you free.
Hearing the refrain “you’re my runaway, my little life escape,” burst through is like taking a deep breath of fresh, non-algorithmic air. Then there’s the midsection, where O’Halloran’s bass takes the lead, anchoring the track before it erupts into a collective, gang-vocal exhale—a “we leave it all outside” moment that feels more authentic than any influencer’s curated life. This is the first taste of their upcoming full-length album, set for an early 2026 release on Fail Harmonic Records, and if this is the quality we can expect, consider these guys pros.
“Life Escape” is the anthem for the disconnected, the recharge for the over-scrolled. It’s a reminder that the best pit is a real one, and the best connections happen off-screen. Get The Net is leading the escape. Now, if you need us, we’ll be keeping on driving through the night. Catch them opening for A Wilhelm Scream on December 11th at Crossroads in Garwood, NJ. Be there or be square, trapped in your damn phone.
