Evan Isaac is back in 2025, kicking off the year with his sultry new single, “Takes Two.” This pop-R&B gem is a track that’ll have you feeling like you’re on the best first date of your life – one that never ends.
Evan’s not new to music. This Pittsburgh-born, small-town-raised guy has been rocking stages since he was a teenager with his band, Crossing Boundaries. After sharpening his skills at USC’s Music School and spending half a decade in the City of Angels, he teamed up with some talented friends to form GoodKids. Now, Evan’s traded palm trees for skyscrapers, moving to the Big Apple to start a fresh chapter in his musical story.
You know how sometimes the best ideas come from the most unexpected places? Well, “Takes Two” started life as a little demo on an old-school Casio synth. He took this nugget of an idea to Keenan Copas at Biscuit Head Collective in NYC, and together they went to town on it. They wrote lyrics, beefed up the production, and before they knew it, they had a banger on their hands. The result is a song that’s bursting with good vibes and warmth, perfectly capturing how love can be your North Star when things get tough.
The song’s all about how that special someone can be your rock when life gets crazy. You know, that person who makes everything feel a bit less scary. The way they’ve put it together is smooth but still has that raw edge, with a beat that just makes you want to move. It’s the kind of track you’d want on repeat.
“Takes Two” proves Evan Isaac isn’t just another face in the crowd. He’s got stories to tell, and he’s telling them in his own unique way. Can’t wait to see what he comes up with next!
