Minneapolis rockers Dave’s Manual just dropped a new heater, and this one’s got some serious juice.
Their latest cut “Electrical” is everything a Friday night anthem should be. This is the kind of track that makes you wanna pile your buddies into the car, crank the volume until your mirrors shake, and hit the strip like you own the place. It’s a high-octane celebration of those nights where the only thing that matters is your crew and the promise of neon lights guiding you to some good trouble.
The band’s locked in tight as hell on this one. The guitar work is just nasty—we’re talking a hooky riff that burrows into your skull and sets up shop for the week. It’s got that big-room swagger that makes you puff out your chest a little. When that harmonically complex chorus kicks in, you can practically feel the walls sweating. It balances technical chops with pure, unadulterated catchiness, wearing their influences from Foo Fighters and Tom Petty like a well-worn leather jacket. You can hear those big-rock DNA strands woven throughout the track.
This is the band’s second single from their upcoming EP Worry About It Tomorrow, a title that pretty much nails the vibe they’re going for. It’s the kind of record made by folks who know a thing or two about milking every drop of fun out of the night. Pulsing with that late-night energy, “Electrical” captures the frantic, sweat-dripping-from-the-ceiling thrill of a great night out.
Dave’s Manual is carving out their own lane in the alternative rock scene, and if this track is any indication, the Twin Cities have another heavyweight champion on their hands. For a band out of Minneapolis, they’ve got a sound that could blow the roof off any dive bar or arena, no sweat. If you dig riff-driven rock that’s heavy on the hooks and bursting with honest-to-god live energy, you need to get this track on your playlist. “Electrical” is pure, uncut rock and roll adrenaline.
Stay tuned for the full EP, expected to drop later this year.
