You hear that guitar lick? The one that snags your ear before the whole damn thing explodes? That’s The Radio Addicts. A bunch of Boltonian teenagers who clearly raided their parents’ CD collections and said, “We can do better.” And you know what? They just might.

Let’s Party Like It’s The 90s” is two minutes and forty-nine seconds of pure, arms-aloft, indie pop punk mayhem. Recorded at The Kaiser Chief’s studio – yeah, that Kaiser Chiefs – “The Nave” in Leeds. And who’s behind the board? Andy Hawkins. The same dude who’s worked with Maximo Park, The Pigeon Detectives, and Flogging Molly. So yeah, the production hits like a cheap lager at 1 AM.

But let’s talk about the song itself. This isn’t some nostalgic wankfest about the good old days. It’s about the chaos and exhilaration of a great night out – specifically back when the 90s were in full swing and there were no mobile phone amateur documentarians recording your every stupid move. No TikTok. No Insta stories. Just sweaty rooms, bad decisions, and that one special someone you’re trying to impress while dodging the people who are “all full of it.” They give us that phrase – and yeah, we’ve all met those clowns at house parties. The ones who talk big and mean nothing.

The track crashes into a punch-the-air chorus that’s already been tested where it matters: at Bolton Wanderers F.C.’s stadium, blasting before the teams ran out. If it’s good enough for a football crowd, it’s good enough for you.

Who are The Radio Addicts? They’re teenagers. They’re unsigned. And they sold out their debut vinyl EP MMXXV – all 200 copies – through pre-orders and gig bundles three months early. One copy went for six times the original price on a collector’s Facebook group. That’s demand, baby.

This summer? Sixteen-date England tour. Ends with their biggest headline show yet at The Deaf Institute in Manchester on July 26. Be there or be square.

This is raw, youthful, don’t-give-a-damn energy. Wind it up. Lose your phone. Party like it’s 1999 – or, you know, the 90s.
