We spoke to Callie Joy Porter about her music as a deeply immersive, intention driven experience designed to empower listeners through themes of self love, confidence, and unapologetic self expression. She reflected on her evolution from childhood pop songs to a bold, purposeful sound tied to her 40th birthday release, sharing how her latest album blends personal inspiration with transformative energy available across major streaming platforms.

How would you describe your music to someone who’s never heard it?
My music is an experience. You’ll love it, hate it, want to hear it again, over and over again, and sometimes you will feel like you went into a videogame, then a cinema of sorts and then a secret society of lust and passion for life, but you will always come out learning something. Empowering yourself. And if you listen to it with the purpose of getting the intention out of the songs, some are for you to be empowered, some to stop apologizing for being yourself and some for being that femme fatale you hold within – and also a lot of self-love.

How has your sound evolved since you first started making music?
The first time I made music it was pop in Spanish. I do have the songs, I have not published them anywhere yet, but maybe I’ll fix one and know it then. However, I was 10 when I made those songs, so I bet it’s been a long ride since. I’m not so sweet, and I’m not apologetic about living. It shows in my choices when I make music. I make music I know will give someone the intention and purpose I gave the song they are listening to. They will feel those inside their soul before they even love or hate them. They will keep on listening if the intention reached them enough to feed and fuel that side of their soul, whether it’s being your own hero, with Just Rise and Hero, being your sexy femme fatale, with Stellan and Sweet Darling, or becoming your own biggest cheerleader, for Happy Birthday to Me, and any of the other intentions that are very obvious when you read through the lines inside the lyrics. Empowerment, release, self-love, being unapologetically yourself. Those are the intentions inside the album, so yes, I’m very aware I had no idea my 10-year-old self, would know I was going to do that for my 40th birthday.

What’s a bizarre or unexpected inspiration behind one of your songs?
Stellan.. is a little weird but more over I just remembered how I was due to things I went through. People I said no to for my own well-being. Also, because of how it was born. Sweet Darling and Stellan came one after the other, like if someone’s story was coming through me.

What’s the most memorable moment of your music career so far?
This. I’m 40. I’m choosing to do this, and this is my birthday’s album. I was born January 9th.

Tell us all you can about your latest release and where and when to find it?
For those who know I’m a tiktok-witch, they will be very glad to know my music is infused with intention of release, empowerment, self-worth, self-love, honesty and road-opening lyrics. The more they listen to the albums I write, the more their intentions will cover their lives and make them better. Where you find it? On Amazon Music, on Apple Music, on Spotify and many other places, in most music listening platforms. They are very much available there.
