Some bands spend years trying to find chemistry. Others just get on stage and realise it’s already there. That’s the story with Tears On Denim, a new Los Angeles outfit that brings together some serious heavyweight talent. You’ve got Alice Austin from Black Sabbitch, David Drouin, and Aaron Zaroulis from Cold Engines/The Brew. These three found each other on stage, playing as hired guns for a friend’s album release show. The spark was instant. Long-distance tracking turned into full-on collaboration, and now we’ve got Dream It Real,” the debut single that dropped March 6th.

And man, does it deliver.

Right from the first note, this thing transports you. The band isn’t shy about wearing their influences on their sleeves—they’re swimming in that 80s rock nostalgia, name-dropping Bryan Adams and Pat Benatar. But the thing is: they’re not simply copying. They’re mixing that classic arena-rock warmth with something a little darker, a little moodier.

No auto-tune polishing. The band packed up and headed to Massachusetts, where their buddy Timothy Phillips let them set up in his basement. Amps turned up loud. Live takes. Guitar-driven and vocal-heavy. That’s the recipe, and it works like a charm. You can hear the air in the room. You can feel the floor vibrating.

“Dream It Real” is all about hope and power. In a world where so much rock music sounds like it was assembled by robots in a lab, this track is a middle finger to perfection. Is it for everybody? Nah. The band admits it themselves—it’s not for everyone. But the people who get it? They’re gonna get lost in it.

With a full debut album scheduled for May 1st and live dates brewing on both coasts, Tears On Denim is just getting warmed up.
