We spoke to TRANSGALACTICA about their unconventional approach to music, where describing their sound feels almost impossible but always rooted in ideas that matter. With a relaunch of their first record featuring new vocals and a second record that leans heavier and more ominous, they blend inspiration from both music they love and thought-provoking themes like the struggles of the US middle class. Their latest work includes videos such as Polonaise For The Middle Class, now available on YouTube.

How would you describe your music to someone who’s never heard it?

I would tell them to get a listen and maybe explain that describing music is a daunting task, although AI music seems to suggest otherwise.

How has your sound evolved since you first started making music?

We are now relaunching our first record with new vocals, so no evolution here. Our second record uses less classical instruments and the sound is generally heavier and more ominous.

What’s a bizarre or unexpected inspiration behind one of your songs?

All our songs are inspired by music we like and ideas we care about, and the latter would probably seem bizarre to most musicians, like the alleged impoverishment of the US middle class.

What’s the most memorable moment of your music career so far?

Nothing stands out, since our music career hasnt’s really taken off yet.

Tell us all you can about your latest release and where and when to find it?

Since this is a relaunch, we don’t anything that we could call “latest”, except for the videos, where the latest would be Polonaise For The Middle Class: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bspw7vJnZ0
